Hello and welcome to Mind and Motherhood.

My name is Rachel and I offer personal support for individuals navigating the complexities of prepartum (antenatal) and postnatal feelings and experiences.

Responses to any birth trauma can, if not treated carefully, result in mental health crises. Drawing from my own personal experiences, my goal is to create a safe space for healing and understanding, learning from the journey I have taken. Underfunding and lack of training have created a void for individuals navigating mental health crisis.

I aim to share a unique perspective that many professionals may not fully grasp, fostering a deeper connection and support for you. It’s hard for someone to understand mental illness unless they have walked that path themselves and found their own way. Add to that the mental strain that pregnancy brings and we all need compassionate support

Together, we can explore my path to healing, find meaning in your experiences and ensure the correct bond between you and your baby.

At Mind and Motherhood, I provide information designed to help members understand and process their experiences. My site is split into three main pillars.

  • Mind and Motherhood

  • Baby Basics

  • Real Motherhood.

By doing so we hope to provide information and help at all stages of your motherhood journey.

Those three sectional pillars include relevant articles, product advice and additional mental health support at each stage. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where you can explore your feelings and find strength in your journey, as I have.

I know how difficult that can be, but at least you know I have the personal experience of that journey. At Mind and Motherhood, I have taken the drugs, listened to psychologists and psychiatrists and, in the end, learned how to control my thoughts and urges. Through mind and motherhood I now focus on helping you understand your mind and manage your impulses, because this understanding is the road to recovery.
